Development of the Building
In partnership with The Gavins Foundation we are leasing this amazing building whilst we carry out major rennovations. This large and spacious building in the heart of Dronfield, will be transformed it into a vibrant and contemporary community space whilst still retaining its beautiful old features, character and charm. Once renovations are finished, Life Dronfield will purchase the halls back from The Gavins Foundation.
Planning permission has been granted and met by us replacing the rear roof. We know we have ample space, (including a new mezzanine area) to provide different areas for different groups. There will be a large play area for little ones, quiet areas for reading or working on the internet and an open café area serving nutritious and affordable food and snacks. We will have space to provide extra facilities for those with additional needs so all will feel welcome.
In January 2023 we began the long process of rennovating the building by removing and replacing the roof at the rear of the property. This has meant the building is now water tight.
