I work with the Life Charity project as a volunteer and have recently been helping the Trustees with business and financial advice to support the development and progress of the Life project. I enjoy the role and hope that my help will enable the charity to realise its vision of developing a welcoming community facility that will be a benefit to all the residents of Dronfield and its surrounding areas.
My working life has been as an accountant and I have worked in both the private and public sector . About 7 years ago I retired and started working as a self -employed consultant providing business and financial advice , financial training and financial support services to school academy trusts and other charitable organisations. In 2018 I fully retired but still enjoy using my knowledge and experience to benefit the voluntary sector and as such continue to act as a school governor at a Sheffield secondary school and also give my time to the Life project.
I moved to Dronfield in 1980 and have lived here ever since, I think it’s a wonderful place to live and feel that the community deserves to have a vibrant community centre whose services can be accessed and used by everybody at all the stages of their life.
