I moved to Dronfield in December 2020, but had connections with Life for many years. When the position of Treasurer needed filling in 2021 it seemed the right time to offer to take on the role,

using my recent experience of being a parish church treasurer for the previous four years. It seems to me that the Covid experience has highlighted the need for churches to work together as part of normal Christian life and for the benefit their local community, and Life Dronfield does exactly this.

My work was as a chemical engineer and it took my family all over the world, seeing and living in a variety of, to me, different cultures. My Christian life has also taken me to be part of organisations that have taken me out of my normal, comfortable experience. This is why the development of Life is exciting to be part of – it is a challenge for all involved, but God has, and is, supplying what is needed at the right place and at the right time.
