Chris Walton
Secretary and Trustee
I am a Baptist Minister and retired 6 years ago having had two church ministries, one in South Wales the other in inner city Birmingham during which time I became a trained person-centred counsellor. The education and care of children and young people has been one of the central parts of my life and ministry. Since 1999 until retirement my wife (Dr. Ross Ashley) and I were leaders of an outdoor environmental education residential centre in Suffolk run by the Ringsfield Hall Trust, for 17 years. We are now both Trustees of the Trust and I am the Chair of the Board. It was during this time that we both undertook research on different aspects of children’s development and both obtained a PhD.
For twelve of those years I was also a Trustee of the Quiet Garden Movement, and the editor of the Green Christian Magazine and I remain chaplain to the Green Christian Movement.
Moving near to Dronfield only in April 2016 I am delighted to be able to be a part of the Life vision to be a servant to the community.
